I don't quite believe they're necessary myself. And as far as I'm aware, only Fluffle Puff had her own futa tag before this. While all of the other Futa oc: tags have been created by 1 person.
 
I haven't felt a pressing need to remove the tags. So I'd wait for more input from other staff before doing anything about it, since the tags don't cause any harm by themselves. Aside from the miss-tagging instances such as with said Busty Boy OcCs.
