It's relatively easy to make standard UI for dumped blog which looks like archive page, because TumblThree seems to save all post data (if you checked it ofc).
Recreating custom theme sometimes may be almost impossible and there is no real reason to do it, since theme itself doesn't contain something useful (and in most cases custom themes is so awful and unusable, that I often used archive page).
