if you got the LNP it should have instructions on how to do instal mods, please make sure your mod is up to date for the current version of DF (which I think only one of those were) or download an older version f DF. If your not using the LNP youtube has several how to vids for modding and getting started and you can always check the wiki here

to get started on adventure mode. I don't play adventure mode so I cant help as much as I'd like the forum also has a help thread for new players/moders
