On the one hand, the show _*could've_* gotten the idea of the CMC themselves being filly scouts from the comics.


 
On the other it could simply be just a coincidence. I mean "little kids being apart of a Boy/Girl Scout group" is hardly an original concept. PlusLike didn't both the show and comics do two different ponies based off the same celebrity cook or something?
