Um no, Sombra was DESPISED when Season 3 premiered: "donut steel" jokes, mocking his lack of dialogue or characterization ("Grr...crystals! GRRR!"), how he was less a villain and more an obstacle, etc...heck, Jim Miller received several death threats for voicing Sombra.
