I noticed this too a long time ago. I think that other yellow parts like in the RD's bracelet change randomly since _*Rainbow Rocks_ randomly*, but i'm not sure. xP


 
For me, the real color is the second one, looks more vivid compared to the first one. In addition, it's used in promotional material, despite that artworks and animation use different colors for characters.
