To be fair, they weren't originally planning to bring Optimus Prime back to life, and only did that, because kids/fans were so upset by that.

Hasbro & the makers of the original Transformers cartoon had no idea Optimus was such a beloved, and iconic character for the series at the time.

Only one I could see happening maybe would be the CMC thing. Funny thing is, now that their voices are pretty much grown-up, or in their teens now, Pipsqueak is the only "kid" character in the show with a genuine kid voice actor. (Granted, they replaced him, after the old one hit puberty, and has a man-voice now.)
