You're saying that she's not had the same experiences but before you said that they don't need to establish characters that have already been established so your point seems to have entirely flipped.[/bq]
Not really. I'm saying that EQG Rarity has logically not had the same experiences yet they treat each of these characters as if they are the pony counterpart. The movie writers are basically counting on you being aware of the pony personalities enough that they don't feel the need to establish what these hairless monkeys are actually like. The Humane Five are all caricatures, with only brief moments of standout material that helps us get to know them as characters of their own.
The screentime and development has all been spent on Twilight and Scitwi, Sunset Shimmer, and whichever boytoy Hasbro threw in there for no apparent reason.
Regardless, shallow as EQG Rarity is, she is not bereft of character just because she happens to be obsessed with her hobby. And failing to step aside is not a character flaw either.
