Unpopular opinion: I think whether they made Scootaloo an orphan or not would not have mattered as long it was a good story.

Word of Faust is nice, but I'm sure if you have a good idea and execute it right, then it can be good whether adhering to Fausts vision or not.

And honestly I think Faust would have been okay with Orphan Scootaloo if a great story came from it.
