I haven't seen much drama from it, but most TMNT fans I know are pretty cool. Like Sonic & Pony though, I see some that only like the older stuff, or some that only like newer so some are divided, but not as badly as the Pony or Sonic ones.
 
All fandoms have good/bad things about them.
