The multiversal nature of the _*Transformers_* franchise is crucial to its definition of canon. Each continuity is part of a single "meta-continuity", and all Hasbro's works are canon _*with respect to that continuity_*. By contrast, the closest we've gotten to an official multiverse in MLP is _*Equestria Girls_* and the "Reflections" arc, neither of which acknowledged other published works as alternate universes within their own continuity.
