So that's where the real Rockhoof went, I knew that overly muscular one that popped out of nowhere, could never be the real him. It very clear now.
 
New headcanon. Once Rockhoof saw the lava, he ran instead of trying to save ponies. And being thea dumbass he decided to dig his way to China, but found his way here instead. He then, sent back an over muscular Gary sue that just happens to look like him, while he decided to stay here and watch all the awesome art that comes through here.
