His role is to avenge his father toby stealing the Staff of Sacanas and capture Twilight and the Princesses. Twilight will somehow not only be interrogated by Storm Cloud, but she'll mention about the hippogriffs. When Storm Cloud is given the location, he will steal all the magic from the princesses and begin his invasion on Mt. Aris and Seaquestria, starting a war. The ponies and Tempest Shadow must work together to save the princesses and unite with the hippogriffs to defeat Storm Cloud once and for all.
