I apologise for the offense, but Taiwan celebrates that, so I thought I would like to join in.
Of course, Taiwan was originally owned by China in history, but even though it is part of China, it follows a different government than the one in the Mainland. The Taipei government claims that they _are_ the China who owns Taiwan, which the Mainland government also claimsito do so as well.
IAs am Malaysian of ethnic Chinese descent, sdo shyould think all Chinese everywhere should instead celebrate October 1st (never anything to do with the Taipei government) from now on?
Taiwanese fans (who are Chinese, culturally and ethnically, as well) would consider that as a political thing too.
