I was actually referring to his appearance before that, where he accompanied Cadence on the crystal train to Ponyville. He was only on screen for a few seconds and had no lines. Regardless, the fact that he showed up in the season 4 finale at all still contradicts McCarthy's tweet about him. Moreover, the Flash we saw in both instances was the pony world Flash, not the EQG Flash, which only brought up more debate about whether or not he actually serves as evidence that EQG wais canon.
