I can see your point and actually agree with that, same comes to Flame actually: developers worked so hard on the enviroment of Hero's Tail but put blank and flat (and with Spyro-ish design) characters just for one-two games, and that actually makes me sad since these characters wcould be more than just "thank you for rescuing me" and "this gem could've looked nice on our engaged rings", especially Ember, she'd be like Amy Rose for Sonic or smth: a bit annoying and pink, just what I like.
