It wasn't that it wasn't disastrous. Literally nothing happened. Also the only two states I remember enacting net neutrality laws were California and New York.
PS Look up 'was net neutrality repealed.' According to the wikipedia article, it was, and while the house voted to reinstate it, it would have to have been be signed by the president in order for the reinstatement to take effect. That was a year and a half ago
