See, I can get behind humanizing an off-white pony with quite darker skin because then you could put them in white clothes; turning coat color into clothes color makes perfect sense. Plus the contrast is nice.
But this just kind of... skips the white. Really, I guess I just don't like Vinyl's outfit. I don't interpret her as dressing quite that butch. But this is artistic interpretations and probably part of the commission. It makes me reconsider my head canon of her because there isn't **too** much to go on.
The paler version really isn't any better or worse.
