Yeah it's about time I left a comment on this one. Already shared a good few of my thoughts, but it's more than worth it to summarize and add a few more. This pic here has, as you know, been a massive success. The derpibooru normaloids can suck it, for this is truly an inspired pic. Well I mean its degenerate fetishwork but what are we but a miserable pile of kinks and tentacle vore

First and foremost, the whole fact that htis is actually two pictures in one. I went in knowing it was a little bit of a risk, especially since the focuses and POI's in these two pics were a bit different, while it was still one picture thematically. You've never really done anything this complex before, and yeah, you've nailed it here. The decision to put the short story frames to the top in particular helps these pictures come together. The frames and the nice little ornamented border going from one pic into the other is magical, no matter how minor it may be.

In more of these small frame pics, I'm just way too satisfied with them. You added minor details to much of this pic, but they really come through in here. And I do mean minor, like how the discarded shoes look... very organic, kinda realistic, in how they've just been left like that. It's an amazingly effective detail, breathing life into these already engaged pics. The star of the show, though, is the reaction frame for each, both were pulled off deliciously. Celestia is such a perfectly enjoyable, boopable mixture of silly and smug, her face in her own pic is precious. Luna is positively AAAWWWWWW inducing, in both, especially coupled with the events of her own picture - the addition of the cartoony embarrassment effect is highly, highly effective in the second picture.

I could point to maybe three issues with these smaller frames in the end (and blame partly lies with me for two of these). Celestia's hand is missing the ring you gave her in the actual picture, which is very slightly nagging, and she's missing her horn in the Luna reaction picture. I'm not sure how the horn slipped by me to be honest; at least its justifiable in that we can assume its just the angle of her head and her hair. Thirdly though, I kinda feel like now it looks as if the reaction frames happen immediately _*before_* they set out on their respective barefoot adventures, not after, as is meant to be the case. It's an acceptable loss and may even just be me.

The actual pictures, yeah, they're on the level of my previous commission of yours, which I believe was the best picture you made until then. Whatever you did with the lines worked extremely well, as the sketches are far cleaner than usual while still retaining your distinctive style and identity, and this higher definition lets a lot of _*assets_* come through way better. I'll just get to the star of the show; the feet.

Celestia's are effing delicious, like, ffffffuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. They carry this perfect plumpy plush character while still having distinctly perky qualities, rivaling AJ from my previous commission while not being a copy. I love these, I really do. The definition of the arch and the slight impression on the heel that touches the table really solidify their place in the picture. My favorite detail, as I said, is the point of impact between the two feet, this light fleshy fold, which is a thing I'd never have even begun to think of. I love it too much. Also, the way you handled their playfulness is drool inducing. I dunno if you truly realize, but the way her big and second toes press into the ball while grasping the straw is such a humongous aid to giving her feet character that I can't put it into words. You then add that cocktail umbrella to her other set of toes, splitting the gimmickry between the more dynamic and more restful foot.

Luna's are a very quality foil, especially since we decided to do the risky thing and have a less in-your-face (more ways than one) picture that carries a different thematic for her, which meant it would be a pitched battle to put her up to Celestia in a fail sheer porn value fight. I have no idea how, but despite more distance from the POV, and lacking as many reference points, the size of her feet is still coming through strong, and they are satisfying to observe. Their pose, obviously, is the key to their appeal, I don't think there was a way to do the hideyhidey nature of her position in a better way - I did at one point suggest having them point forward more and do more wrinkling, but looking back, it wouldn't have worked as it'd have reduced the amount of screen space her feet take up. You'd be surprised, but very often one foot hiding behind the other looks weird and unnatural, you however posed them in a much more plausible way - adding that big toe in was a huge deal too, more than I ever realized at the time. The heavy scrunching is also at just the right degree, as I know we've been going back and forth for some time. Coming in at a disadvantage, Luna still has good pedal presence on the screen. I do wish it made sense for this pic to let her have some jewelry as it'd have bridged her closer with her sister, but she's already remarkably close.

The backgrounds are also something I'm very happy I got you to work on, as you give us a bunch of silly and fun scenes that once again do a lot to breathe life into these pictures. You're developing a style of drawing backgrounds and background characters that is distinctly your own and I'm fortunate to basically be the main catalyst for that, heh. All of it is more over the top than I was imagining, and I don't mind it. These scenes work and blend well with the pictures. I prefer Luna's, of course, as hers is more background and scenery focused, plus somehow the bench is just... so... good-looking. Idfk, it's a REALLY. good. bench. The whole scene looks very organic in Luna's pic, which is to your credit because I can TELL it was actually a big task to make the scene align right. In Celestia's picture, I'll definitely want to see Arcy's attempt at coloring it, because I'll be honest, I kinda have no idea what's going on with the pone who's obscured by the glass with the magical aura. Because the pone is... well... obscured by the magical aura. Its not much of a criticism, but to me, the lines do all mesh together in there.

Finally, I just really gotta compliment all of your executive decisions. You understood this pic to a greater extent than most other artists I commission understand the pics. It was great working with you, and this was a big reason why. There's too much to list for comfort. Celestia's popsicle, which does so much for her expression, and actually lets you make a pone that has a mouth (wow!) - that was great, even if I was initially a little apprehensive. Giving her a plain bikini top is a decision that grew on me a damn lot, as while I imagined much more of a shirt and kinda wanted to suggest you try making one anyway, she looks very fit for this exhibitionist scene with these tight pants and these megamilk holders. Even teensy weensy details like giving her a slouched, relaxed posture, her left hand just hanging off to the side as she's enjoying being a smug barefoot bimbo, really stack up. I'm also amazed at how well the use of her drink and the meme cake for size comparison has worked out, because her feet are so much more defined now, it's almost scary - there's no questioning how damn huge they are. Lastly, the decision of three toe rings going from second to fourth, and each with a different pattern, is something that's probably going to be my next gimmick crush - when I get another Celestia picture in the future, not necessarily even from you, I'll more than likely ask for this assortment of jewelry.

Actually using the hood of Luna's hoodie is a decision I'm still impressed by, as it somehow never occurred to me. Not only does it help her blend with the foresty theme of her pic, but it also gives her a very unique look. Yet again, urban clothed luna forced to go barefoot, a concept only a true connoiseur would salivate over, was performed very, very well, and it does admittedly make me want to see more. While Celestia was simply done in a way that was perfect to satisfaction, Luna is done exactly right AND she makes me want to see more and more and more of her, pushed further and further into steaming, cute embarrassment. This has potential, something that moves muh imagination for sure. Perhaps the only things that could have been better on Luna's side of things would have been texturing on the gloves (which honestly arent as bad as you thought they were) and giving her a horn ring to match her sister's - the lack of jewelry on Luna is a bit assymetrical when Celestia has so many dangly fun things. Maybe there was more bling we could have slapped onto Luna.

You did the stains on their feet extremely well, as they don't look gross while still looking sensible enough for us to buy that they've been padding around in their bare feet for quite a while. I'd say that it's not such a big deal that derpibooru is literally retarded and thinks that the clean versions are all the Celestia picture (even if it isnt actually the celestia picture), but, lets face it, the normaloids cannot comprehend the idea of feet that aren't clean, and if they can... then they're probably stinkfags and bone it up to grossout tier dirtiness. Still, the tiny dark particles really do make the stains work.

Perhaps the only thing we ultimately both missed in this picture is that pones are meant to have tails. I actually don't care though, tails are fucking stupid, I always forget them in my stories anyway. So there we go. The cake is real, the feets are juicy, the future is bright, and the loons are boiling up with shyness, as they should be. Celestia's face is too in character for comfort considering the absurd scenario (by normo standards anyway), Luna's scrunch mastery is over nine thousand. All is well.
