In a way, she is doing so out of curiosity of the girl's (let's call her Lavender) objects, like fishing rods and matches, for she has never seen those before. Aside from what she played with on shipwrecks, this girl is like a shipment of curiosities from lands beyond that are unknown to Trixie's primitive sharkgirl worldview.
