I see far more people trying to argue for Chrysalis being the sole brood mother, even after Ocellus's parents debuted, than I see people saying the opposite. I've always felt rather alone in that quest.
Personally find the changelings to be more interesting, the less their society was entirely built around Chrysalis. Personally find it more interesting of a lore concept that Chrysalis forcibly took and raised the young changelings of the hive to be warriors under her watch, as the ancient Romans did with young boys. 'Oh well she's the brood mother they're all her children the end' is less interesting than alternatives from a storytelling perspective, to me personally. Has nothing to do with bad vs good parenting.
