Well, things you've mentioned were in The Simpsons even when it was good. The real problem is that now Simpsons became a zombie show: it's not funny, not clever, not interesting, it just keeps spinning it's wheels because it can.


 
Back to ponies. As sad as it is, I'm okay with the show ending while it's still good. Last couple of seasons showed that it became hard to pump out 26 great episodes each year, even so great episodes still happen every season. So it's a pretty good place to stop.

I try not to have high hopes for g5, so if it doesn't suck, it would be a pleasant surprise.
