There are so many things wrong in this comment, it's kind of funny. [/bq]
There is? Are you a backer? I am. I lost count of how many email updates I got where the theme was "We're progressing and we _promise_ it won't be much longer, but..."
Literally 98% of all the updates I got about the game were in that vein. And when it was discovered the latest build had a serious issue, they decided to release an earlier build that had been used for the higher Kickstarter backer tier preview as the launch version.
What we got was something still deeply in alpha. No single player story mode. No tutorial. Missing and placeholders animations all over the place. Missing moves and abilities, broken combos, horribly cheap, overly difficult AI that would box you into a corner and beat you to death with the same cheap move faster than you could react. Bugs, crashes, and more.
While things have improved and updates made, the last email I got is once again promising that v1.0 will be released "sometime this year." I'm aware of the difficulties the teams has had, and I am understanding. But this far out and we're still waiting on what we were promised three years ago that would be _at launch_ has made me a little testy about the subject. We were supposed to get a feature-rich launch-ready game. Not a stripped-down early-access alpha.
I BACKED the game. I followed it from day 1. I've gotten every single email from the team about it. I know what the !@#$ I'm talking about.
