>do you usually continue to read stories you don’t enjoy, just so you can criticise them?
Actually, yes. I've read through a lot of awful shit, because there's much more satisfaction to be found in pointing out flaws people might not have noticed so they can improve than just harping on something for the hell of it.
However, this story is probably one of the best works of fiction to come out of /filly/.
>a lot of that "motherhood" is just hype and peer pressure.
And there is peer pressure to be found in the story if you'd read it. ||if your brother is fucking the Princess of love and gets her pregnant, that kind of puts some pressure on you.||
>not write a greentext fic! hah!
Rooood
>I could also have filly anon be a little more scarily effective in her threats, so twilight’s reaction is easier to sympathize with.
||That's the thing though, she is. Later in the story she succeeds in doing a lot of fucked up shit to Twilight, but the way you've stated it doesn't make her come off as that smart of a character. In the story, she's cunning. She wants to make Twilight's life miserable, but she also doesn't want to show her full hand because she knows nothing would be waiting for her there but punishment.||
>there would be clear rules for how it worked
But mate, there are clear rules. The story commonly hops forward in time, there's no telling how many times Anon gets shocked offscreen.
>a lot of my characters actually end up fucking up my story ideas, and taking it in a different direction. and I’m fine with that.
Are they characters or tulpas then? Unless you're running a quest of some sort, you as the writer should have complete and total control over your plot.
