It's sort of this artist's style of having the face/head sorta wide and stretched out or appearing to be stretched out. It's not really an issue most of the time, but a picture like this does accentuate it. If you look at the humanized/EqG works done by the artist, you'll notice it just not as overdone as this individual picture.
