No offense, but frankly Equestria is not some _*"peaceful, everybody loves each other, nothing bad ever happens"_* utopia... So honestly, I don't think it's that much better then real life. I'm not sure I'd like to live there as a pony in a world full of pony-killing monsters, and stuff.

Fans whom assume Equestria is a utopia, oftentimes forget the dangers that exist in it, (such as black magic, mythical monsters, dangerous areas, and such) plus bad people/ponies exist in it, or even just rude/cheating ones. (Look at "Putting Your Hoof Down," or the Flim-Flam Brothers.) So even the ponies aren't always nice, or peaceful. Even flashback orgin stories, alternative timelines, and such, (as seen in "Hearth's Warming," or "The Cutie-Re-Mark") show that hate, racism, and war exists in Equestria too.

So it's not really as perfect as some fans assume.

That's not what I remember. Back when the season 5 finale aired, everyone and their mother was up in arms over how easily she was forgiven, calling her a Mary Sue or a complete Karma Houdini (that is villains who never get punished for their actions). It was only through her appearances in season 6 and 7 that people eventually came around to accepting that her turn was genuine...and even then she still has haters.[/bq]

Also, at that point I remember everyone getting sick of all the villains being reformed, and I also remembering people cheering, yes cheering, when Chrysalis denied Starlight's offer to be friends and swear revenge on her instead. [/bq]

I remember these moments too, and fans even try to pretend these fandom drama events never happened in order to help their arguments like, "Everybody loves that awful Mary-Sue," or "Everybody wanted the villains reformed!"

Yeah, I don't really see the "foreshadowing" that they ever had kind feelings, or had good in them... I think some fans took that one joke moment in "Frenemies" (where they _*almost_* learn the "lesson of the day," only to brush it off disgusted) too seriously, as they try to use that as "proof" that they aren't all bad, or a "reformation" was foreshadowed, just ignoring the fact the bad guys as I said, _*brushed it off, basically disgusted at the idea of converting to friendship._*
