Well, color reinterpretations are not unusual. I really hope this is the case if she is named after that G1. Plus, that pink would look a deeper gray in manga than Pinkie's.
 
Tbh, the first time Pinkie called her a "space pony", I imagined a light green similar to Filly anon, likean 'alien' spacgre poeny,. tThat would be more accurate with her light gray tone.
 
I guess they haven't given us her real color for having us to speculate. So mean. :c
