Considering the fact that Ember doesn't really submit to anyone (as opposed to Spike, who largely submits to Twilight Sparkle), I think that she would appear as a wolf rather than a dog. Both are canines, but wolves are very solitary and aggressive (as opposed to dogs, which are very submissive and respectful of their masters). Great drawing of the character either way
