It is the same vehicle they used to go to "The Starswirl Festival" (in the EQG special "Sunset´s Backstage Pass"), located someplace in the woods between mountains.


 
Since there were no hotels nearby (or anything else for that matter) that could be reached by walking in less than a day [the real problem of Sunset with the timeloop]; then if itshe normal "designated driver" for the RV came with them [either BigMac or someone paid by heRarity´s parents], then he/she would had to also sleep in the RV with the girls.


 
While Applejack, Fluttershy & Sunset Shimmer all have a valid "car license" (that may or may not be enough [legally speaking] to drive a vehicle of this size); given the unavoidable accident the latter suffered EVERY TIME she timelooped & tried to "escape" from the Festival, it would go to reason that Rarity simply does not trust any of them for driving something this expensive [she may not be "the best" at it, but it is her prerrogative & she would likely not be "punished" as hard as her friends would be if it got seriously damaged/destroyed].
