Appledash don't work too, just like soarindash. Two similar tomboys with the eternal urge to compete will not get along together and will kill each other within a week. Otherwise you have to break their personalities and then they wouldn't be RD and AJ anymore, just two boring faded copies of them.
Rarijack is closer to be canon than any other AJ ship at least because of all their moments together in the series, and their chemistry is perfectly demonstrated without destroying their personalities
