It's not simply the fact that it happened, so much as how the backstory doesn't make much sense; "realistically," would no changelings side with her, would she not mention anything, would it line up with her lyrics of "a day of which I've dreamed since I was small," and that it came on the coattails of Cozy Glow's backstory, which [literally gave up on portraying its core aspect, with abuse, going on a spiel saying it's "too dark," and that they felt they couldn't do it justice...](/images/2480788) but they then follow that up with attempted genocide. It continued the fanon trend of making *ponies* the ones at fault, for Chrysalis attacking them, despite absolutely nothing in canon or loose canon (comics) leaning that way.

It also doesn't help that it continues the supposition of *needing* a tragic backstory to be reformed, when, no, a character doesn't really need that, but it's a shortcut if it's purely black and white.

Maybe it's the fact that Celestia and Luna, except for the off-chance they're imposters on account of Discord (I believe they aren't; [the story seemed to foreshadow this with the real ones](/images/2381357), and if it does go through with it being a twist, it came out of nowhere, and is a waste of time), are essentially strawmen with very little nuance to their arguments; the artist is going out of their way to make their position completely unsympathetic. They're emphasizing how much they'd enjoy seeing it, rather than how it's for the "greater good" or some such, that what if they've been lying about this?

Also, if you'd actually think a comic literally named ***"Fix"*** is going to have them actually go through with this, irrevocably succeed in punishing them... then I have a bridge to sell you.
