You did good \^\_\^ They look like individuals to me. And the very colorful ones look like they're floating out from the image. It's a really great use of foreground vibrancy and "presence" versus background 'slightly out of focus', which a good blend between. It's really making me see things that aren't even in the image. It's ... nice. I like looking at it.
