So this hits me in a completely different way now that I'm seeing it 10 years later, after I wrote an *Friendship is Optimal* story titled *All the time in the world*, in which the Celestia-robot is walking a human through an uploading center after he spent like 25 years in VR, and he notices that the murals in the lobby that used to be these wild fantasies and video games have changed to things like ponies sitting around a table and eating... Because that's the advertising that gets people excited to immigrate after the collapse, not the games, the availability of food.
This is exactly how I would imagine that mural looked like.
