Or the dub simply anglicizes the names according to the Japanese pronunciation rather than what they actually say.


 
They called Gargomon, "Gargomon" because in Japanese, Galgomon is pronounced "Gargomon", the Japanese tend to switch sounds with L and R.



 
Rather than Horusmon, they called him Halsemon, because in Japanese, Holsmon is pronounced, "Halsemon", when they're actually saying "Horusmon", in "Engrish" (What the JoJo fans refer to a Japanese-accented English).


 
They also change the names of all Digimon with "Holy" in their name to "Magna" to avoid Christian references, which was 2000s standards. Real petty.
