I didn’t check what was in that tag. If there’s pictures in there that have a focus on one character, but aren’t the only character, then yes, you’d be right. But if there’s only one character to focus on in the image, then the “solo focus” tag should be replaced with “solo” in the relevant images.

As far as I can tell the artist is still active under both names, so it should be an implication, not an alias.

Derpibooru usually only uses one artist tag, even if the artist uses multiple aliases at the same time. Only exception is when the artist explicitly request it otherwise. Like if he wants to differentiate his NSFW art from his safe artwork, or something.
