I don’t feel entirely proud of this piece in its current form, at least compared to my last piece, and I still have so much trouble with hands/paws. That said, I wanted to get this done in time for :iconestories: Filly Contest, so I hope I get in! So many interesting entries, it’s gonna be an interesting contest.
 
This was a good opportunity for more practice with hair, shading, and coloring. Much more melancholy feel, for I-hope obvious reasons.
 
Anyways, this is the foal version of my OC, Mind Mender. I still need to finish my portrait of his adult form, but you can see at least most of his face on my DA icon. In short, he’s a noble pony born with lycanthropy in Canterlot. Very complicated childhood, and this little piece opens a window into it.
