So I drew Vinyl and Trixie, my two favourite background ponies next to Derpy Hooves~!
 
I kinda created a story with the first one:
 
Vinyl and Octavia were in Ponyville when the virus attacked all of Equestria, shopping for goods for their separate concerts. Octavia needed a new string for her cello and Vinyl thought ‘hey, why not get some new rockin speakers?’. When they arrived, everything was normal until one of the Pegasi fell from the sky with multiple bite marks on their hide. More fell and unicorns that could easily use their magic helped rush them over to the hospital. But as all the unicorns that were helpful left in a rush and more continued to fall, one resurrected from the ground and bit the nearest pony, who, in turn, bit the next one until everyone was almost eating everyone else.  
Vinyl, who didn’t offer her services to help since she was in a store with Octavia, noticed the commotion outside and alerted everyone inside, causing a wide panic to shiver through the crowd. The costumers rushed out, the store owners pushing anyone who wasn’t family out of their shops and boarding up in panic.  
Octavia was tossed too close to one of the infected but Vinyl saved her just in time, only losing her DJ glasses as a result. They ran to their shared house, trying to ignore the pleads for help from other ponies, colts and mares alike. It took hours for most of Ponyville to be infected, their heroes somewhere trying to calm the survivors and collect new ones to head to Canterlot, where guards had a protective barrier around the entire city.  
The two mares had decided to stay in their home, boarding up their windows, (sadly) storing away all of their instruments in case they caused any loud noises to attract the Zomponies. It was hard to try and collect anything of value when the two decided to leave to Canterlot once all the resources had run thin in Ponyville.  
Octavia and Vinyl were almost to the boarders of the city, running along the train’s rails, when an infected Zompony jumped out from being a bush, parts of their hind legs missing. They only had one weapon, a new invention created by the scientists that were still alive, which everypony called a gun. They were too late to use it when the infected unicorn bit into Octavia’s leg. Vinyl shot the Zompony dead and they rushed to somewhere safer where they could check the wound.  
Octavia and Vinyl cried in anguish once they saw how deep the bite was and how far along it looked to be infected. Octavia already had the fever and she told Vinyl her final request: to shoot her before she turns.  
Vinyl had refused profoundly, nearly causing any infected in a ten mile radius to head their way with all her commotion, but Octavia wouldn’t take no for an answer. It was nearly dark and time for Octavia to turn. She had closed her eyes for the last time on being alive, and with a small whimper, Vinyl went with her best friend’s wish.  
When it was morning, she had buried her best friend and created a nice plaque over her grave before she left:  
Octavia Melody  
Best friend  
and Companion
 
 
And then there’s TRIXIE!!!! No one should leave out THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!! Though… I did leave her uncolored…. Oops
