I myself think that Twilight should be Edmond Dantés/The Count, with Rainbow Dash As Mercédès, Starlight Glimmer Pre-Reformation as Danglars, and…I don’t know, maybe Applejack as Gérard de Villefort? But than, since I like to make ALL the characters from the original book as ponies, and not just the main protagonists/antagonists, who do you think would play characters like Caderousse, Bertuccio, Baptistin, Ali, Haydée, Benedetto/Andrea Cavalcanti, and the others? By the wat, this idea is JUST sticking with canon characters, so that means NO OCs, but background ponies like Berry Punch, Doctor Whooves, Derpy/Ditty Doo (there’s no way I’m calling her Muffins), Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Lyra, and Bon-Bon/Sweetie Drops can be included.
 
Personally, I think Berry Punch would be GLORIOUS as Caderousse, Octavia as Haydée, and Vinyl as Ali (because they’re both mute). Well, what do you, or anyone else for that matter, think of my ideas? Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you for your time, goodbye.

Y’know, I like that Potts gave some artists inspiration to draw Count of Monte Cristo stuff, but can we see some variance on who is who? Because Dash would not be a suitable Dantes, Applejack would probably be closer.And the big three(four) bad guys could be somepony else. I mean, deVillefort was an ambitious bastard, so maybe Dash could be him. Danglars was greedy and manipulative, so sorry Spike fans, but Spike would be good for this(though, he might ruin the ‘pony~human’ thing going on). And the coward Mondego? A traitorous, two faced man?….I dunno about that one. Fluttershy is a good pick for Mercedes, and one of the younger ponies could be Haydee.
