Emerald asks how close he was with his guesses.
“Pretty good! There is ectoplasm in it, as well as water and very finely ground up crystals. There is also air, but it’s not just air you can grab anywhere, it’s from atop a very cursed mountain.”
Emerald asks if this is going to take a while.
“Nope! It’ll have to cook for a bit, but all that’s left for us is to speak the magic words. You gotta hush while this is going on by the way. Speak the wrong word and something bad can happen.” Joyride says, and at this point starts to chant words that Emerald doesn’t understand. It sounds a bit like Zebra gibberish. The pot starts to steam furiously, and then froth and bubble. This continues for about five minutes before both the chanting and the bubbling stop.
“You can speak now.” Joyride says, placing the top back on the pot and the stick back into the container.
Emerald asks if she has any books on zebra magic. He feels like he could learn that way better.
“Of course I do. In my library.”
Emerald’s eyes light up and his ears flick at these words. He has always liked books, and was quite keen to see her collection. He asks if they can go see it while the potion cooks.
Seeing his obvious excitement, Joyride smirks and says, “Okay, jeez, don’t lose it all over my floor.”
The pair of ponies step out of the room, and flashing through her keyring again, pulls out a bright, sunflower colored key and puts it in the lock.
Emerald’s mouth drops. It opens to a room full of ceiling high level bookshelves crammed with books, and it stretches farther back than Emerald can see easily.
Emerald doesn’t know where to start. He isn’t even sure how he is going to find anything in all this, though he is excited to try. he makes these comments to Joyride.
“Just ask the room, it should help you find whatever you want. Have fun nerd.” At that point she leaves Emerald to his business.
