I’m happy with how this came out.
 
You could all use a little Rainbow Dash in our lives. You know?
 
I was experimenting how to do things with the smudge brushes to shade for this picture, which let me say. The coloring and all that is the easy part of the picture. The shading is the darned hardest part.
 
For me at the moment, I have five layers in a picture. The first, a draft sketch layer (which eventually goes invisible). Second, lineart. Third, color. Fourth, shading. Fifth, background. And out of all those, shading takes the longest. Gosh darn it shading.
