The laws of physics hold no sway over one as awesome as her. In a single moment, when the racer breaks through the limit of what can be, reality itself bends to her will, shattering into a thousand colors and rewriting destiny forever.
 
This is the first of a series of fractal flame pieces based on characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. For each flame, I used the a color gradient based on the color scheme of one of the characters and tried to capture the essence of the character in the flame.This flame is for Rainbow Dash.
 
I tried to evoke the Sonic Rainboom in this flame, the idea of a mare that’s so awesome and fast that she tears apart a fundamental barrier holding her back, which of course causes an explosion of color because she’s that cool. I was quite happy with the result; a piece that manages to both look like a fractal and a Rainboom at the same time.
