On one hoof, I still find it unfortunate that the rapport between the FiM crew and the fans (us) was tainted by the Derpy drama and as a result, she will likely never speak another word.
 
On the other, I’m really glad that she’s still around and we get little unofficial “gifts” like this.

Not to mention the fact that (I seem to recall) the production team still considers her as Derpy, they just avoid using the name openly to avoid a similar situation like the first time.
