Description
Clover asks Skillet why she has such a bad reputation, and how she became a Pirate/Pirate’s cook. She asks both of them how long they’ve been part of the crew. Clover even asks what kind of food a Pirate Cook likes.
“Well, y’see… it’s not that I cook bad food. I cook great food! It’s when I try to make something new with exceedingly dangerous ingredients, that I… well. This.”
Skillet soothes her mane with a hoof, and it goes from ragged to smooth in a single stroke, minus a cowlick. “Let’s not talk about some of the taste tests. And as for food? Hmm… to be entirely honest? I could eat hay nuggets every day. I could work in a five star resort, making the best foods a pony could ever desire, but in all honesty, I’d live off of hay nuggets if somepony offered it. And how I became a Pirate Cook? Pfft! Silverwind came in to my workplace at the same time I had a mutiny. I couldn’t stand the posh and the polish. So here I am, exploding kettles. And as for age, I’ve been around here for about… two years.”
“I’ve been here for a full six months. Aren’t I special?” High Tide chips in with a smile.
About halfway through the rambling of the two ponies, Clover’s attention becomes centered on the food. Her mind becomes one with the soup on the table, the apple gleaming in her eyes. She doesn’t really know what’s on the plate, but she doesn’t care.
Suddenly, Clover jumps forward, knocking Tide onto her back as she springs for the food, DESTINED to consume it!
Clover lands with her face in the bowl, slurping up the food inside. Yummy potato soup. Delicious!
Skillet is lost for words. Tide is still recovering. Silverwind begins to laugh as you devour the bowl.
“Clover! Manners!” Tide shouts, sitting back up onto her pillow.
