My first time sewing with Minky…and I’m pretty sure I used enough cuss words to make me an honorary sailor. This was for my 4yo’s best friend for her birthday. RD is her favorite pony, so RD is who I made I usually sew with fleece and then paint the cutie marks and eyes on, but that did not work with Minky. I ended up painting the CM and eyes on a piece of sturdy cotton, then satin stitching them to the Minky. I was finishing this up until 1am the night before the birthday party. Not a big fan of how the tail came out (looks more like Zap apples than RD’s tail LOL), should have angled the colors better. Big success though–the mom told me that DD’s best friend sleeps with RD every night, so I am thrilled! I still have my Care Bear my best friend’s mom made me from 25 years ago. Pattern by
