Poison Sweets (offscreen): “Daddy, what did Santa Hooves give you in your stocking?”
Phil: [dumps out his stocking] “I got coal, black as the endless, cruel, insignificant thing that is life.”
Minstrel Custard (offscreen): “I got coal too. Hearth’s Warming is such a pathetic, meaningless holiday. Luckily I put my secret ingredient into those cookies we left out so we shouldn’t have to deal with it much longer.”
Poison Sweets: “Uh oh, looks like Daddy and Papa are on the naughty list! You should be good if you want Santa to bring you presents!”
Phil: “Sweetie, Santa Hooves doesn’t ex-”
Sheltering Hoof (offscreen): “Oh hush, you two! Cheer up! It’s Hearth’s Warming!” [pulls everypony into a group hug]
Phil and Minstrel: [grumbling]
