That would cause his statement to make a lot of sense because the first trilogy starts off as the established canon and then there would be inconsistencies in that canon after that. So only the first trilogy made sense. Also who says that everything else is completely accurate? If you are writing either a story or true events you write them very differently. But because she already made things up wouldn’t that have to influence her retelling of real events as well?
