Being born during the final battle of the Crystal Empire and the inevitable defeat of the Shadow King, Crimson Crescent was cursed with the the partial essence of the late king. Having latched on to the nearest and weakest pony to survive long after death, as he transferred himself to his new host everything else followed with him including immortality. As the months turned to years and years turned to decades it wouldn’t be long until the soon forgotten Shadow King would make a second attempt at claiming the Crystal Empire for himself, in the body of his pawn.
