I just saw this moment as some friendly bonding between Applejack and Rarity, but of course leave it to shippers to blow it way out of proportion.
 
I didn’t get at first why Spike was looking worried afterwards though, but after rewatching the scene and seeing how he looks towards Twilight in the next shot, I think what AIDS Kitten said is probably it.

Well, that makes sense. He must have felt guilty cos the test required Twilight to save the day, not him.

I saw this scene and figured Spike was worrying about Twilight Sparkle and her test - afterall, the immediate scene after this showed Spike listening in on Shining Armor trying to comfort Twilight.
 
But of course, my brain works different due to that tractor accident when I was four.

I remember that. I was being sarcastic. I literally said, if I recall “Of course Rarijack is best. It’s cannon and proven by science.”
 
Then the guy just started taking it seriously and railing on me.
 
I can honestly say, knowing my own mind, that while I have my own personal favorites I literally DO NOT CARE what ships, if any, people choose to follow. As long as people are having fun and not taking things too seriously then it’s no problem for me.

It’s totally cool that you like rarijack. And I’m happy that you guys have this. But people have their reasons for shipping Raridash too.
 
Can we at least agree that it isn’t right to bad mouth other peopels ships when you don’t like the same being done to yours…it’s all for fun in the end right?

I don’t think it was meant to be taken too seriously in the first place.

BP sure is upset over folks just having a little fun. Of course they’re never going to have any kind of romantic relationship in the show. However, taking things out of context or creating your own jokes around is enjoyable. That’s one of the things I like most about a fandom. We can take characters and draw or write them in new and interesting ways that appeal to us.
