No, but this gave me a headcanon that Celestia follows every trend and popular thing throughout her lifetime to fit in with her little ponies. She would totally do something like that.

I mean, the auroras ARE basically solar radiation bouncing of the magnetosphere… Never actually thought about it before, but the ties to the earthly making Celestias, well, celestial nature shine more beautiful and brightly is honestly a really subtle and nice visual metaphor for her entire personality and purpose in life.
 
Lovely, lovely~ picture though! ‘Just’ made me realize some neat symbolic depth to the original character design, and felt like sharing.
