After Fluttershy reformed Discord, the two became the best of friends. Even when Fluttershy had other things to do and other friends to hang out with, she always made a point to spend time with him.  
Discord felt a connection with Fluttershy that he’d never felt with another living creature before. After all, she was the first pony to reach out to him and genuinely call him her friend.  
Eventually, Discord’s closeness with Fluttershy grew to the point that his heart fluttered at the thought of her and he tripped over his words when he spoke to her. He didn’t realize he’d developed a crush on her until her friends started questioning him. When he realized this, he started making more sweet gestures such as bringing her gift baskets and offering to do her chores.  
Over time, Fluttershy began to catch on to Discord’s crush on her. While touched by his actions, she didn’t fully return his feelings. One day, she decided to confront him on the issue. Discord reluctantly admitted his feelings for her, but he begged Fluttershy to at least give him a chance.  
And so she did. Fluttershy and Discord began spending even more time together and getting to know each other. Discord continued making romantic gestures, and Fluttershy often returned the favors for friendship’s sake.  
Eventually, Fluttershy found herself falling for Discord. There was just something about him that made her happy in a way that she never felt with anypony else. Also, she admitted, both of them had a pretty big influence on each other’s personalities. When she confessed this to Discord, he was thrilled. He wanted to elope right away, but Fluttershy insisted that they spend more time together to be completely sure before they made such a commitment.  
Fast forward a few years, Fluttershy and Discord are now deeply in love with each other. Discord even proposed to Fluttershy, and for once she said yes with no hesitation. Other ponies question the logic of an immortal being marrying a mortal of a different species, but Fluttershy and Discord don’t care much about that. They loved each other too much. After all, what fun is there in making sense?  
While Fluttershy had a nice, quiet wedding planned out with her best friends, Discord spontaneously flew her away and they eloped, just as he wanted. While surprised at first, Fluttershy was able to have a nice after-party with her friends, as she wanted. Discord and Fluttershy were happy to be married, and that’s all that mattered.  
After awhile, Fluttershy caught what many mares seem to get at one point or another: baby fever. She wanted a baby. While Discord knew nothing about foals, he wanted his wife to be happy. So they began trying for a child of their own.  
They tried and tried for a few years, getting their hopes up and being let down by a negative pregnancy test, or, even worse, an early-term miscarriage. It broke Discord’s heart to see Fluttershy so distraught, but there was nothing they could do. Doctors had concluded that their species were just too different to reproduce with one another.  
While it was hard for them both, Fluttershy and Discord eventually moved on from their failed attempts at having a child and decided to focus on having a happy marriage. That part was easy. However, there was still the undeniable feeling that something was missing from their lives.  
One day, Fluttershy woke up with strange cravings. She brushed them off, believing it was a false alarm or that this, too, would end in failure. As she began gaining weight and feeling sick in the mornings. After running a few tests at Ponyville hospital, the doctors concluded that she was indeed pregnant. Unlike previous attempts, Discord couldn’t shake the feeling that this time would be different.  
Throughout her pregnancy, Fluttershy was constantly monitored by doctors. They would not let this one fail. Besides, she was about to give birth to a draconequus, and they wanted to ensure that both mother and child were healthy. On top of that, Discord became overprotective of his wife. He would growl at anypony who dared go near her. Needless to say, Fluttershy was ready to give birth and get everything over with.  
At long last, Fluttershy gave birth to her and Discord’s child. Everyone was surprised when she laid an egg instead of birthing a live child. A few hours later, however, the egg hatched and little Bedlam was welcomed to the world.  
Raising Bedlam proved to be a challenge. As a baby, she had constant bursts of magic that even Discord had trouble controlling. Fluttershy and Discord swore that even raising an alicorn would’ve been easier, but they loved their daughter all the same.  
As Bedlam grew, she learned to control her magic and became a very well-behaved child. However, she went to the extreme of being extremely shy and ashamed of her powers. Discord and Fluttershy tried to help Bedlam become more confident, but nothing worked. That is, until she met a little dragon named Burgeon Flare.  
Ever since that day, Bedlam has been more confident and assertive than ever. However, her sarcasm and rebellious nature make her parents actually miss her infant years. She acts like a sassy, sometimes rude teenager, which makes them miss the days when they’d cuddle with her as a baby and listen to her tiny, shy squeaks. Even then, Fluttershy and Discord wouldn’t trade Bedlam for the world.  
All in all, Discord and Fluttershy are happy to have each other and their daughter. Little did they know back in the day that they would actually get married and have a child, but now they can’t imagine life without each other. Too bad Discord’s immortal and Fluttershy’s not…
